Our Treatment Approach:
Form Follows Function
Comprehensive AssessmentWe evaluate your child's breathing patterns, tongue position, swallowing function, facial structure, and development. This includes understanding contributing factors like diet, allergies, birth history, and feeding patterns from infancy.
Guide Proper DevelopmentWith correct muscle function in place, the bones naturally reshape themselves. The tongue is like a bulldozer—when positioned properly on the palate, it widens the airway and creates space for straight teeth. Movement creates shape.
|
Correct The Reflexive BehaviorsUsing gentle exercises and activities, we retrain the tongue, lips, and facial muscles to function correctly. This is physical therapy for the mouth—teaching the body its natural blueprint for movement.
Establish Nasal BreathingWe restore nasal breathing as the default, clearing congestion and teaching the body to breathe the way nature intended. All mammals are nasal breathers—mouth breathing should only be a backup.

Long-Term Prevention
|
Once reflexive behaviors are corrected, they stay corrected. We're not managing symptoms—we're fixing the root cause. This often eliminates or greatly reduces the need for extensive orthodontic work later.
